Tunnustus/Acknowledgement

Teatavasti on Ravelry suur ja lai, lausa 3 miljonit kasutajat. Sellepärast ei ole võimalik jälgida kõike. Kui ei otsi midagi konkreetset, siis on hea jälgida sõprade kaudu, mida huvitavat on (nn friends' activities). Ja täna avastasin, et üks kuduja kasutajanimega Jenny Venemaalt viitab sellele topile, on leidnud sarnase mustri ja teinud midagi taolist (aga ilma kraeta). Selle topi õpetus peaks kunagi ilmuma Käsitöös, aga kogenud kuduja leiab 99 juhul 100-st sarnase või päris sama mustri ja edasi tegutseb juba iseseisvalt. Jätsin talle kommentaari.
As you know, Ravelry has so much to offer, it has 3 million users. This is why it is impossible to follow everything. And today I discovered that a knitter from Russia with the user name Jenny was referring to this top, had found a similar stitch pattern and made something in this spirit (without the collar). The pattern for this top will appear in the Käsitöö magazine after a while but an experienced knitter will find out in 99 cases out of 100 a similar or an identical sittch pattern and then proceed quite idependently. I left her a comment.

Niisiis, ma ei pahanda, kui keegi "kasutab ära" minu kudumisidee jms. Kopeerimine (kasvõi osaline, aga ka täieli) on otsene või kaudne tunnustus. Mingis mõttes me kõik kopeerime kõigilt, ideed ringlevad ja see on tore.
Thus, I am never angry if someone "uses" my idea. Copying (whether selective or global) is a direct or an inderect acknowledgment. In a sense, we all copy from everywhere, ideas are circulating and this is nice.
